How does nutritional counseling with Florian Kubisiak work?

Before the first session – Important information

Before we begin, you should be aware of the costs involved. You can submit my cost estimate and the medical necessity certificate to your health insurance company. This will help you keep track of everything!
If you need a form for the medical certificate of necessity, I will be happy to send it to you.

Getting to know each other – The basis for your nutritional counseling

The first session focuses on getting to know each other. Ultimately, you have to decide whether the support I can offer you is helpful for you. At the same time, I get an impression of where it makes sense to start in the coming sessions.

Motivation – Half the battle

I will get to know your habits and we will clarify what motives, goals, and values drive you when it comes to nutrition. We will discuss how these can be implemented during the course of the consultation. Only if the new behavior suits you will you be able to implement it in the long term.

Personalized nutrition recommendations

You will receive a list of nutritional recommendations tailored specifically to your individual needs, e.g., existing comorbidities. This list contains only evidence-based recommendations based on the latest research. You can implement these recommendations at your own pace.

Enjoyment and success through nutritional psychology

I will introduce you to certain concepts of nutritional psychology that can help you combine your nutritional goals with enjoyment and well-being. Because without enjoyment and well-being, new behaviors will not become sustainable habits.

Influenceability of eating behavior

We explore how your eating habits are influenced by emotions, stress, certain situations, or your environment. We are often unaware of how strongly our eating habits are influenced by external factors. Only by becoming aware of these influences can we develop new eating habits that are both predictable and resilient.

Your personal history and eating habits

Looking back at the past helps you recognize patterns and understand the psychological functions that food has fulfilled for you throughout your life. Together, we will work on recognizing these patterns and making them more flexible in order to achieve lasting change.

Body & Self-Reference

We are often influenced by external stimuli and the “rules” of healthy eating, so that our eating habits are not conscious, but controlled by external factors. A healthy self-image is therefore a must before we can focus on healthy eating. Your body constantly gives you information about what it needs. Learning to listen to these signals can be challenging at first. I will guide you through this process and help you understand and interpret this information.

Critical self-reflection

We talk about topics such as desire, boredom, restriction, health, body image, moralizing about health, freedom, and fear. Sometimes we have internalized certain attitudes toward these topics that no longer support our goals today. It is time to recognize and rethink these attitudes.
